For the 2021 Chelsea Flower Show, Muck Boots and My Little Allotment teamed up to create a unique display bringing the theme of growing your own and garden therapy to the forefront. The concept of the garden aims to stimulate visitors' awareness with sensory planting pathways and upcycled sculptures. These are arranged circularly, symbolising the 'circle of life' and the continuous nature of well-being and nature itself.

The importance of garden therapy and the benefits it can have on improving physical, social and physiological well-being was illustrated through the colour scheme of the planting from dark to light, intended to symbolise the journey of mental health. In the spirit of sustainability, Muck’s little allotment garden was planted with pumpkins and rhubarb from My Little Allotment, and recycled wood was used for seating, which was donated to local woodland areas after the show.

The dynamics of the new Muck RHS Collection were used to symbolise the light in the garden. At the same time, biodiverse, bee-friendly flowers and plants from the UK were used. All these stimulating elements offered visitors to the stand a comprehensive visual and physical experience that illustrated the positive effects of garden therapy on the mind.

This year, the Muck Boots garden was created by @SaveTheBees_UK, who put sustainability at the heart of their daily operations - from volunteering in community projects to being appointed a trustee of the West Kent Downs Countryside Trust. Sustainable Garden Solutions aims to create, develop, maintain and connect diverse habitats that are rich in biodiversity and create aesthetically pleasing, sustainable places where both people and the associated native wildlife can live together peacefully.

About My Little Allotment: Following her own mental well-being challenges, Kirsty Ward - known as My Little Allotment - discovered the healing potential of gardening in 2017, finding it great concentration therapy for managing PTSD. Kirsty uses her platform to speak openly about her experiences with her allotment and to openly share her mental health issues, while inspiring her followers to grow their own .
