Nathalie Larsson | European Champion and Former Olympic Sport Shooter
International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. To celebrate this important day, the Muck team travels to Sweden for a meeting with Nathalie Larsson, European Champion and former Olympic sport shooter.

About Nathalie
Nathalie lives with her husband, son, and two dogs - she forages for wild plants and hunts to create delicious meals for her family.
"The fact that I grew up in the countryside with animals and surrounded by nature has greatly shaped me and my life today. Even as a small child, I accompanied my parents into the forest to hunt, or to pick berries and mushrooms. I learned a lot about plants and animals there."

Living close to nature - that is a great need for me
"When I've harvested a wild animal, my son often helps me with the butchering. He finds it exciting, and I see myself in him as a child. He asks many questions and wants to know everything. I enjoy telling stories and try to convey the same feeling that my father conveyed to me. It also gives me a good feeling to show him where our food comes from and why one hunts."

This is what International Women's Day means to me
"As a hunter, I don't see myself as 'a woman who goes hunting'. I just hunt. Nothing more and nothing less. I've always had this attitude, and I hope I can inspire more women interested in hunting to take this step. No one should be deterred by the fact that hunting is a male-dominated industry. Let's look at it as an advantage! We can make a big contribution, and in my experience, most hunting communities would like more women on the team to improve the dynamic."
