Dear Muck Boots community, I’m thrilled to share my incredible volunteering experience at the Chelsea Flower Show, representing my company, Bentley Pole Gardens. Here, I'll share the challenges, joys, and unforgettable moments I experienced during this prestigious event.
As a self-employed gardener with a deep-rooted passion for horticulture, joining the Sustainable Garden Solutions team at the Chelsea show was a dream come true. My family history is deeply intertwined with gardening (Bentley Roses, to be precise), so I knew I had found the perfect opportunity to learn new things and expand my skills. I was essentially following in my family’s footsteps, as my great-grandfather was a rose judge at many flower shows, including the Chelsea Flower Show.

As a long-time wearer and fan of Muck Boots – I always have several pairs at once – I approached their stand at last year's Chelsea show to express my enthusiasm for the boots and ask if I could support them the following year.
Throughout the week, I was busy helping Sustainable Garden Solutions with the planting and maintenance of their spectacular exhibition stand. The process itself was very exciting, as the talented team had already selected the plants for the exhibition and meticulously planned the display.

When I arrived at the Chelsea Flower Show, I was immediately captivated by the impressive atmosphere and the opportunity to work with passionate gardening enthusiasts. Every moment I spent planting and tending to the exhibition, I felt like I was doing something fulfilling and was simply proud to be a part of it.
I felt an incredible sense of belonging as I contributed to the stand's design. The camaraderie within the team was infectious, and the atmosphere was full of joyful anticipation.
Volunteering at the Chelsea Flower Show gave me invaluable practical experience. In conversations with visitors and other exhibitors, I was able to share my passion for gardening and sustainability and inspire others to cultivate their green thumb. I enjoyed every single encounter, learned from experienced professionals, and exchanged ideas that will shape my future projects.

My time at the Chelsea Flower Show was an impressive experience. I am very grateful to Muck Boots for allowing me to contribute to their beautiful exhibition stand. This volunteering work further deepened my understanding of horticulture and left me with a beautiful memory that will always inspire my work as a gardener. I'm already looking forward to next year!
