“We don’t just grow food, we grow people.”
Muck is proud to be working with the Urban Farming Institute, an incredible organisation operating in the vicinity of our Boston HQ. This year we visited the farm to learn more about their impressive work and take photos for our spring collection.
We are excited to share more about the UFI's vital work: unused urban plots are transformed into areas of diverse food cultivation, in environments where community members can enthusiastically grow and share food.
The Urban Farming Institute is located in Mattapan, a neighbourhood in Boston, and aims to provide community members with access to tasty food and promote healthy eating, to transform neglected land in the neighbourhood, and to contribute to economic and ecological resilience by localising the food system.
It's not just about teaching people about farming. The Urban Farming Institute wants to help people learn more about the entrepreneurial and practical side of farming.
FOOD IS A BASIC RIGHT, AND THE URBAN FARMING INSTITUTE HAS AN IMPACT ON THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
